    • Just traded it in at 220,000 miles

I feel it’s appropriate to give this vehicle the credit it’s due. I bought my 4Runner with nearly 80,000 on it and put over 140,000 on; it never let me down, not once, through ice, snow, rain and sunny days. This ride did it all. So I picked this little gem up when I lived in Wisconsin. I will admit it, the snow kind of made me nervous. This sure footed beauty eased my mind. Blazing tracks (in residential areas) with 10” of snow was done with ease, moving down snow covered rural highways was simple, logging roads in mud and sand? This thing ate it up! This vehicle was designed to work, like a tried and true dog, my 4Runner never let me down. Just like a good dog, I took care of my buddy. Oil changes, filters, brakes, tires, other service; it got all that. In the end, my 4Runner would never leave me. I feel guilty having left it after being such a loyal steed. 30 degrees below zero: yes, pouring rain: happy to go outside, ice covered: let’s get to work. This thing did the job when the job counted and kept me safe and comfortable in conditions I never want to see again. Last week I traded my 4Runner for a 16 Tacoma. Even with 220 showing and being 12 years old, I got 6k trade-in for it. It was a sad day, but just like when it’s time to say good bye to your best four legged friend, my 4Runner was ready but I was not. Gods speed you able friend. Thank you for your service.
    • Best Vehicle Ever

The 4-Runner is a superb vehicle. i get 20 mpg on the highway using middle grade gas, and it's V-8 with all-wheel drive. the only issue i have is the Dunlop tires -- could never get them properly balanced. i have since put on a set of Michelin Cross-Terrains, and what a difference. the traction is unsurpassed, and it runs super quiet. after getting a lemon Nissan Frontier and an Isuzu Rodeo, it seems good to have something dependable. no repairs at all - just normal maintainance. the Nissan blew the transmission the second day i had it, and the Isuzu had a laundry list of problems. buy a 4-Runner and it will last forever.
    • My love affair with a vehicle

I bought my 2005 4Runner new and it’s just turned over 250k miles. I can’t express how very much I love this car. It has pulled stock trailers full of livestock, transported dogs, camping equipment, fishing equipment, etc. It’s gotten me out of deep snow, climbed over huge fallen logs, up high mountain dirt roads full of potholes. It’s never failed me. I bought bigger tires when the originals wore out which add a lot to it. In my opinion, it’s the best vehicle on the road. Today we begin our journey to 300k miles… and beyond.
